Minecraft meets George R. R. Martin’s fantasy world of A Song of Ice and Fire.

Ever wanted to travel to the warm sands of Dorne or to the snowy forests of The North? Maybe you just wanted to hang around and bask in the glory of Casterly Rock in the Westerlands? See Dragonstone in all of it’s splendor? Regardless of what part of Westeros you’ve fantasized about seeing, you can be assured that the team working on WesterosCraft is going to build it. If it’s mentioned in the book - it’s going to be built. 

What is WesterosCraft?

Well, it all started one foggy night or day, whichever sounds the most mystical, when two dudes were talking about Game of Thrones on a forum, it has quickly grown into a full blown, accurate map of Westeros being built in it’s entirety on a server in Minecraft. The maps are based of of speculative maps found here. 20 - 50 people regularly work on the builds and you can join if you’d like, the applications to be accepted are here. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a tour of the Westeros map by one of the mods, (the mods are called maesters by the way) and the fact that only that many people work on it at any given time is absolutely mind blowing. And yes, they take all of the lore into account. The Red Keep has every secret passageway mentioned in the books. Every. Single. One. They built a sewer system into Lannisport as an ode to Tyrion. The Isle of Faces sits nestled in the God’s Eye right next to the ruined Harrenhal. Hardhome and Craster’s Keep can be found beyond the wall including the Cave of the Last Greenseer. They are building ALL nineteen castles along The Wall.

What parts of Westeros are being built?

EVERYTHING.Absolutely everything. If it was mentioned in the books just by it’s name it will be built and as accurately as possible. These guys aren’t playing around, they’re not just building one location here and there they are building EVERY location. If you’d like to see their ever updating list click here.

What is the future of WesterosCraft?

They plan on finishing up Westeros by the end of the year and then they are moving onto Essos and Sothyros. That’s right. EVERYTHING. You’ll not only get to travel to The Eyrie and Harrenhal in Westeros but once you’re done there you can go over to Essos and see Pentos, Braavos, and Meeren. Again, if it’s mentioned in the books, even just by name, it’s being built. 

Future RP and RPPVP server!

After Westeros is done they will open it to RP/RPPVP. Involving a House and Warden system in hopes the politics side of the books/show come out.
You want Asha/Theon together on the Iron Throne? You can gather the strength of the iron islands and pay the iron price for your iron throne. Hate hose lannisters? Well team up the Martells and the houses of the north to squash them and sack Lannisport and piss from the top of Casterly Rock.
